KNAAN releases children's book about growing up as an#immigrant from #Somalia Top 25 winner and 2006 Juno award winner, K’naan has come out with his first children’s book where he shares his childhood story of being an immigrant, first in New York and then in Toronto. The award-winning rapper who came to Canada more than 10 years ago, after fleeing Somalia with his mother and two siblings has penned a book called When I Get Older: The Story Behind Wavin’ Flag (published by Tundra Books)
