When you finish, complete the writing portion of your Literacy lesson. Use the reading from yesterday, “Mohamadi the Bedouin Weaver”. Follow all steps to complete your narrative writing. This assignment is due no later than tomorrow!

Essential Questions: How can talking and working with others help one analyze a novel? How do internal and external forces help people grow? Standard: ELASE6RL1 – Cite textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text. Learning Targets: Identify claims. Elect your position on these claims. Support your claim with logical reasoning and relevant evidence.

Complete Your Outline Step 1: Compose your own thesis.
Step 2: Identify three reasons to support your thesis. Step 3: Make sure your third reason includes your opposing claim (counterclaim). Step 4: Identify three pieces of textual evidence for each reason. So you will have 9 pieces of evidence total. Step 5: Develop your conclusion.

Write your Essay Step 1: Using your graphic organizer, construct your essay in sentence form. Step 2: After you have written your essay, go back to the “Be sure to:” in the writing task while proof reading your essay. Make sure you check off that you have completed each bullet.

Add them beginning on page 111 and continue in order (pages 112, 113, 114, etc.).
