PRE-ADVANCED PLACEMENT (Pre-AP) RECOMMENDATIONS:
RCMS encourages students to choose courses according to ability level for enrichment. Although Royse City ISD has an open enrollment policy, we have the following recommendations for your student as he/she makes decisions about enrolling in a Pre-AP Course: The student and parents talk with current teachers about Pre-AP placement. The student passes every grading term and has a final grade average of 80% or higher in the requested Pre-AP subject the previous year. The Student achieves Satisfactory Academic Performance on the STAAR Assessment. The expectation is for students to remain in Pre-AP the whole school year as requested.
