Exposition a setting forth of facts, ideas, etc.; detailed explanation
writing or speaking that sets forth or explains that part of a play, etc. which reveals what has happened before, who the characters are, etc.

Rising Action series of events that lead to the climax of the story, usually the conflicts or struggles of the protagonist The part of a drama where the plot becomes increasingly complicated a related series of incidents in a literary plot that build toward the point of greatest interest

Climax a rhetorical series of ideas, images, etc. arranged progressively so that the most forceful is last the final, culminating element or event in a series; highest point, as of interest or excitement; the decisive turning point of the action, as in a drama

Falling Action / Denouement
the outcome, solution, unraveling, or clarification of a plot in a drama, story, etc. the point in the plot where this occurs any final revelation or outcome
