“The Right To Fail” In paragraph 3 it says: “the right to fail is one of the few freedoms that this country does not grant its citizens.” What does this mean? Why? Do you agree that we do not have the freedom to fail? What does success mean to society? What about to you? If failure isn’t always bad, does that mean that success isn’t always good? Why? What could be bad success? Or a good failure? Reflect: What might the right path to the top be for you starting from today?

Reflection on “Now I’m Here…”
A lot of you listed ‘final exams’ or tests as the reason you flunked language arts. HOWEVER, poor test scores is not a reason you failed– it’s a symptom of other behaviors which are the actual cause. What kind of behaviors lead to poor test scores?

Thesis Driven Writing Activity
Define success and failure in your own terms. Is it important to have the right to fail? Do you want it? What does the right to fail mean? Justify and explain your definitions. Include 2 personal experiences as evidence to demonstrate: A time when people labeled you a failure without it being true by your definition A time when you felt you had failed even if others did not feel that way. Include support from “The Right to Fail”
