Hi! My Name is Mrs. Dixie Kelso! I am 56 years young! I live on a farm outside of Cantrall with my husband Nick and my two children Elizabeth and Caleb. I will be your child’s 2nd grade teacher for the school year! This will be my 31st year of teaching at Cantrall Elementary and I am excited to make this my best year yet!
My Childhood!
I grew upon a farm outside of Cantrall, Illinois where I attended Cantrall Elementary for 1st through 4th grade. I then attended Athens Junior high and graduated from Athens High School. My family raised pigs, cows, chickens, beans and corn. My summers were spent showing pigs at the county fairs. I also spent many summers walking beans and detassling corn. That made me appreciate that we have airconditioning at home and at school!

My Education!
In August of 1980 I attended Illinois State College. I was there for 3 years and made many wonderful friends. I completed my teaching degree at U of I at Springfield. I did my student teaching at Butler Elementary in Springfield.
