Understanding Admin>Community Options During this lesson we’ll review Solana’s Admin>Community and how they affect your operations.

Solana Admin>Community Options
Browse to Admin>Definitions/Setup>Community The eLearning lesson Creating and Updating Reimbursable Meal Pricing shows how to configure this and the Account Balance Rules option. In this lesson we’ll review the remaining options.

Grades Click on Grades. Use the dropdown next to Save to add a New Grade if needed. Shown are the Grades that are pre-loaded.

Languages Click on Languages. Languages are used when creating Letters. Click + to add Languages. ENGLISH and SPANISH are pre-loaded.

Classrooms Classrooms are populated when importing the Student Information file. They can only be deleted if no records are associated with them. Click on Classrooms. Click + to add a Classroom.

Income Eligibility Guidelines
Click on Income Eligibility Guidelines. Rates for the 48 contiguous states are auto-updated annually. Click Edit and update if yours differ.

Import Customer Photos
Click Import Photos and browse to their location. The format should be studentid.jpg. Click on Import Customer Photos.

Reimbursement Rates To update, choose Update Reimbursement Rates from the dropdown. Click on Reimbursement Rates. Choose the appropriate rate Then Update.

CEP Claiming Percentages
You will only see this option if you have Schools marked as CEP in Solana. If you have CEP schools and don’t see this option call Customer Support. Admin>Schools, School Details tab, CEP School option. Click on CEP Claiming Percentages.

CEP Claiming Percentages
Admin>Definitions/Setup>Global>System Options>Free and Reduced. CEP Percentages can be calculated by School, School Group or District, depending on your configuration. Admin>School Groups. To calculate CEP by School Group, create a group containing CEP Schools and indicate CEP Group. To calculate CEP by District, just make sure ALL Schools are marked as CEP.

CEP Claiming Percentages
To update, enter the either the Free or Full Pay %. Solana will calculate the other for you.

You will need to indicate the items for which taxes applies.
Tax Rates POS>Items. You will need to indicate the items for which taxes applies. Click +, then input Name, Type and Rate (and Save!). Click on Tax Rates. Browse to Admin>Definition/Setup>Community>Reimbursable Meal Pricing to assign the Tax Rate to a Pricing Group.

Online Applications Edit the Program and Description labels as needed. Click on Online Applications. Indicate which programs to offer on the Online Application form. If your state has fixed values for the Case text and length, enter here. Choose to offer applicants the option to disclose their application information.
