1 Association between maternal antibodies against herpes simplex virus 2 (HSV-2) at midpregnancy and the risk of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in boys represented as odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) for four different reference levels (60, 120, 180, and 240 AU/ml) of anti-HSV-2. Association between maternal antibodies against herpes simplex virus 2 (HSV-2) at midpregnancy and the risk of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in boys represented as odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) for four different reference levels (60, 120, 180, and 240 AU/ml) of anti-HSV-2. ORs are based on results obtained with logistic models using HSV-2 levels as linear and quadratic predictor variables and ASD as a binary response variable. Model is adjusted for parity and child’s year of birth. Milada Mahic et al. mSphere 2017; doi: /mSphere
