2 August 27, INB 26-27 BW: Write the definitions for Bacteria (p233) and Viruses (p249.) CW: Tape the Are Viruses Alive reading/activity page down the center of your notebook so that you can flip the page. Read with the class, then complete the activity on the back. HW: According to your reading today, what are parasites? How many can you name and what effect do they have on their host? TEST THURSDAY ON LIVING/NONLIVING AND CELL THEORY. OPEN HOUSE IS TUESDAY NIGHT 6-7PM!

4 August 28, INB 28-29 BW: Write the Get Ready to Read 1-4 on Page 41, mark each true or false CW: 1. Hooke built a microscope to look at cork, named what he saw cells 2. Schleiden looked at plant cells 3. Schwann looked at animal cells 4. Virchow said that all cells come from other cells. Read page and copy the diagram on page 44 on your classwork page HW: Write the definition of Theory from page 44 OPEN HOUSE IS TONIGHT FROM 6-7PM!

5 August 29th, INB 30-31 BW: How did scientists’ understanding of cells develop? Use your notes from yesterday and the reading from your textbook pages to help you answer the question. Also glue the graphic organizer to page 31 in your notebook. CW: Watch the Ted Ed Video The Wacky History of Cell Theory and complete the graphic organizer. HW: Color and complete graphic organizer AND MAKE SURE YOUR NOTEBOOK PAGES ARE DONE FOR YOUR TEST TOMORROW ON LIVING/NONLIVING AND CELL THEORY. (page 21 should be empty because I still have your post lab questions.)

6 August 30th Test Day BW: Put page numbers in your notebook through page 50. CW: DO NOT WRITE ON THE TEST QUESTION PAPERS!!!!! Use your ANSWER SHEET to answer all your test questions. Put the TEST in the 2nd period bucket and put your ANSWER SHEET in the bucket that matches the period you are in my class. MAKE SURE YOUR NAME IS ON YOUR ANSWER SHEET!!!!! HW: NO HOMEWORK!!! YAY!!!

7 August 31, INB 32-33 Prokaryotic Eukaryotic BW: Read page 54 in your textbook and make a T chart for prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Try to fill in one or two facts on each side about them from your reading. Glue in your copy of the Cells Video questions. CW: Complete the video questions as you listen to the video. HW: Use page in your textbook to make a T chart for Animal Cell Parts and Plant Cell Parts
