Our thoughts and feelings are our mental health and we all have mental health

3 Are Felix’s thoughts and feelings always the same?
How do they change? Our mental health is in a constant state of change – sometimes we feel good and sometimes we feel low. We call this riding the ups and downs – this is normal.

4 The Five Ways to Wellbeing
These behaviours directly influence our mental wellbeing

5 When we connect with somebody we are forming a relationship
When we connect with somebody we are forming a relationship. The best relationships make us feel safe and happy – we call these healthy relationships. Healthy relationships are important for our wellbeing. That is why it feels good to have friends.

7 Whole School Challenge
Getting to Know You Ask children at playtime or back in class about these statements. Use them as a conversation starter by asking the other person ‘tell me more’.
