Shoshone Tribe By: Kynzli, Jayden, Stockton, Dawansu

2 Sacagawea When she was 12 years old she got captured by a enemy tribe called the “Hidatsa Tribe.” On February 1805 Sacagawea gave birth to her son Jean Baptiste. Born 1788 in Lemhi country Idaho. Sacagawea had two children. She was born in December.

3 Where the lived and what the lived in
The states they lived in are Idaho, Nevada, Wyoming, Montana, Utah, and parts of California. Some of the Shoshone Indians still leave in these parts and states. Some people stretched buffalo skins over poles to make tepees. Others covered branches with grasses or hides to make small homes. Shoshone dug holes in the hillsides or used caves for shelter. They hunted buffalo, antelope, marmot, beaver, deer, elk, and fox.

4 Clothing and what animals they used
They wore rabbit fur robes for winter. They wore little clothing over the hot summers. Men wore breech clothes and leggings. Animal skins which they decorated with feathers, quills, and other items. Women wore dresses made of deerskin.

5 Dances The Shoshone tribe had a variety of dances and ceremonies.
Some examples are: the round dance, the father dance, and the sun dance. The sun dance was performed after a buffalo hunt. There are 8,000 people that live in the Shoshone tribe.
