BAPTISM is a BATH a BURIAL a BADGE

a BATH “ - repent and be baptised, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins” Acts 2:38

a BURIAL “ - all of us who were baptised into Christ Jesus were baptised into his death We were buried with him through baptism into death …” Romans 6:3,4

a BADGE “You are to undergo circumcision, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and you.” Genesis 17: “Repent and be baptised. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off …” Acts 2:38,39

A SIGN (BADGE) OF BELONGING
“You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.” Mark 1:11 “Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight.” Isaiah 42:1

ANY RELATIONSHIP …. OFFER ACCEPTANCE

GOD OFFERS! (whenever Jesus is proclaimed)
WE ACCEPT? (whenever Jesus is received) Jesus accepted all that his Father was offering - including forgiveness?? (see Matthew 3:13-15)

We are both SINNERS (our own) and VICTIMS OF SIN (other people’s)
“Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfil all righteousness” We are both SINNERS (our own) and VICTIMS OF SIN (other people’s)

GOD OFFERS! (whenever Jesus is proclaimed)
WE ACCEPT? (whenever Jesus is received) As a disciple of Jesus I accept all that my Father is offering - especially forgiveness, life and love!!
