6. Let’s say we only had half a group of six.
We can show it in many different ways…
0.5 × 6
Remember, 0.5 has the digit 5 in the tenths place. So the digit 5 has a value of 5 tenths which is equal to one half.
But we will talk about that more during fractions. For now, just remember that 0.5 is a group that is less than 1 whole!
We could write
0.5 group of 6!
