Locally owned, individual, tribe, council Used primarily to feed themselves (family) extras may go to the market. Sometimes is the production of many crops in one field because it is subsistence. Arable land is plough able land, land used for planting crops. Pastoralism or pastoral farming is the branch of agriculture concerned with the raising of livestock. Labor intensive - Subsistence farming requires many workers per acre to achieve a small crop Lack of Technology, credit, access to water, modern tools and techniques. Distribution

Large Farm size (cooperate and family owned) Fewer workers per acre Heavy use of GIGs modern Tech, machinery and automation. GMOs Access to water, banks, credit investment, World wide distribution Holden often to world prices, government policies (Quota and prices)
