Language Arts and Reading- We will have normal spelling test, vocabulary test, and weekly assessment. We will be working on comparing and contrasting, vowel team syllables, article adjectives, and proper nouns.
Math-We are starting Unit 15 this week. This is a short unit which will focus on collecting data and putting it into graphs. How to make predictions using the past data.
Science-Organisms and Environment /Plants Social Studies- Producers and Consumers
Health-Outdoor Safety
* We will be taking end of the year test in the next few weeks. Be looking for these test and reports.
This past week all of the 2nd grade students took a tour of the 3rd grade. We went over to the Intermediate and met their future teachers. The students we shown where classes, drop off, and other extra classes would be located. They were so EXCITED!
The last few weeks of school are going to be very busy. We have a lot of exciting events that are taking place. Please look at all information that comes home.
Our Elementary Field Day will be on Thursday. Please make sure that your children wear tennis shoes and appropriate clothing. Our field day will take place on the track and will be between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m.. If Field Day is rained out, it will not be rescheduled.
I will send a note home next Wednesday, letting your child know if he/she will be attending the A.R. Party at Reagan Park.
