1 6. Story Boards… 5. Creative Writing…
Every two weeks you get one piece of homework. You can choose which task you wish to do off this learning menu, but once you have done one task, you cannot do it again – so pick carefully! Creation Station… LOGO DESIGNER Redesign a logo for a famous food/product brand that you are familiar with. Then annotate your logo (write around it) explaining why you have used specific fonts, colours, images, layout and text. (You can do this on a computer) 2. Voice Overs… All advertisements use sound! Compile a list of songs which would suit your product and advertisement – Write down at least 3 explaining your choice. Then think about a famous person’s voice that would appeal to your chosen audience – it must be distinct enough to recognise without a face attached! – Explain who you have picked and why. Finally, will your advertisement appear on TV, Radio or the Internet – Pick a medium and even station and explain your choice. 2.Design Time… MAGAZINES! Design a full page magazine advert for your chosen product. It needs to include your logo, a slogan , images, persuasive text and current price offers.  You can use coloured pens and paper, or any word-processing or other suitable software to produce your design.  4. Modelling… Create a mini 3D version of your product. This can be made from card, wood, paper, plastic (any resource you can find at home) and decorate it using your product colours, logo and any other information it would need e.g. Age, nutritional info, price, instructions, blurb etc. Don’t make it too big though…. 5. Creative Writing… A DAY IN THE LIFE OF? Write at least 5 paragraphs where you imagine you are a self-made millionaire (you could be Bill Gates, A Dragon or Celebrity). How did you make your money? What did you invent? How do you spend your days? How do you spend your money? Where do you live? What life do you lead? 6. Story Boards… Create a story board of an advertisement to sell your product – This could include who would sell it, someone using the product or someone in a tricky situation until your product is revealed to help them out! Your story board should have 8 boxes, on A4 paper, with boxes to write what each section reveals.
