1 Highland Sportsman Club Skeet & Trap Opening – Closing Instructions

2 Welcome Club Member to Highland’s Skeet & Trap Field
Please Sign In and Follow all Rules! The sign-in sheet is on table in Field house. To open skeet or trap follow the procedures on the following pages.

3 Note: Only Members that have been trained on opening and closing the traps are authorized to proceed with this procedure. These procedure help sheets are for your reference and assistance.

4 SKEET Opening procedure

5 Open Lock on Low House (Combination = 1911) Turn on Lights

6 Turn On Breakers for Low and High Houses
Flip “UP” for ON

7 Open Target Doors on Houses
Low House High House Go to front and open door, spring will allow opening. Pull cord to open and tie back

8 Plug-In control wire (Low & High House’s)
Note: Screw Faces out!

9 Plug-In 110V (Low & High House’s)

10 Turn On Control Box (Low & High House’s)
Flip “UP” to turn On!

11 Hook up “Pull Cord” at post in center of field
Screw Out Orange cord is for skeet. When opening skeet you must push buttons one (1) time to load traps, after that birds will throw each push. Place loop over for strain relief

12 Control Switch (Low House and High House buttons must be pushed one time each to load trap, after that you should get a bird each time buttons are pushed.) High House Low House Doubles

13 SKEET Closing Procedure (Low & High House’s)

14 “Un” hook and wrap-up “Pull” Cord (store on hook in Low house.)
NO!! DO NOT WRAP AROUND ARM! Yes! Loop like this

15 Release Arm & Turn Off Control Box
Push switch “Down” to throw bird and release arm, switch will return to “OFF” position. STAY CLEAR OF ARM AND BE SURE NO ONE IS IN FRONT OF DOOR OF LOW HOUSE!

16 “Un”-Plug control wire, lay wire on floor
Lift latch and un-plug

17 “Un”-Plug 110V, lay wire on floor

18 Load Targets in Turrets

19 Close Target Doors on Houses
Low House High House Push closed Untie cord and allow to close, door is on spring and will close automatically when released.

20 Turn “OFF” Breakers for Low and High Houses (Located in Low House)
Flip “Down” for OFF

21 Close Doors to houses and lock Padlocks
High House Low House

22 Please pick up all empty hulls and trash
Please pick up all empty hulls and trash! ( This shooting privilege is managed by the HONOR SYSTEM, we are trusting you to follow the rules and pay for your targets! ) Sign Out and Pay for your shooting: Members and Immediate Family pay $4.00 per round of 25 targets Applicants that have paid initiation fee pay same as a member. Guests and ALL Non-Members pay $8.00 per round of 25 targets Place money in sign in sheet, fold and place in money box

23 TRAP Opening Procedure

24 Unlock Low House and turn “ON” trap breaker (Located in Low House)
Flip “UP” to turn “ON”

25 Hook up “Pull Cord” (left electrical box at back of Trap House,“Twist” lock plug”, push in and turn clockwise) Blue cord is for Trap. Black mark on plug is on top

26 Open Doors to Trap House and fold back

27 Light Switch, Turn “on” if needed

28 Plug in 110V cord

29 Turn “ON” 2 Control Buttons
Push these two (2) buttons “IN”, (“RED” does NOT Show in “ON” Position.)

30 For Regular Trap flip “Rotation” switch forward – “ON” and follow instructions below
Switch is shown in “ON” position! Use this switch to adjust height of bird, push back to raise or lower height. Flip switch forward for full Wobble. Push to Test fire, ASSURE NO ONE IS IN FRONT OF TRAP! Flip this switch forward to arm trap

31 TRAP Close-Up Procedure

32 NO!! DO NOT WRAP AROUND ARM!
“Un” hook and wrap-up “Pull” Cord (store on hook in Low house.) NO!! DO NOT WRAP AROUND ARM! Yes! Loop like this

33 Flip ALL switches to Center “OFF” position, Push “Fire Button” to clear Trap. ASSURE NO ONE IS IN FRONT OF TRAP!

34 Un-Plug in 110V cord

35 Turn “OFF” 2 Control Buttons
Push these two (2) Buttons (“RED” Shows when in “OFF” Position )

36 If you need targets they are stored in field house storage room
Load Targets in Turret If you need targets they are stored in field house storage room

37 Close Doors to Trap House and Lock with hook.

38 Turn “OFF” trap breaker (Located in Low House)
Flip “UP” to turn “ON”

39 Close Low House and Lock

40 Please pick up all empty hulls and trash
