2. Normal development
All children develop at a different rate and this is normal. Some walk earlier than others some are using language a lot sooner than other children.
Some are able to read and write, while others are still struggling on the basic words

3. Assessing children
Children whether they are in school, playgroups and nurseries are being assessed
Both informally and formally
Sometimes as an early years worker you notice something is not quite right
Your report it to your supervisor, you re- assessed and you get the same results
What has gone wrong

It could be the child is just having a bad day Or
There is too much distraction in the class room or
Wrong time to the year e.g. Christmas
