3. The Course
COURSE AIM:
The course aims to explore the foundations of health promotion theory and practice, as originated in the WHO Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion as well as providing students with contemporary issues in health promotion

4. COURSE OBJECTIVES:
At the end of this course, students should be able to understand:
The broader determinants of health
The basic concepts, milestones, and approaches to health promotion
Health promotion from public health perspectives
Theories and models of health promotion as well as their limitations.
A range of societal, social, group-oriented, and individual strategies and actions for health promotion
