Location The biome grassland, is located in Africa, Europe, and South America.

Rainfall In the grasslands, it rains 10 to 30 inches per year.
It rains very little in grasslands.

Vertebrate Animals that have a backbone are called vertebrate.
Some vertebrate are a white-tailed deer, a cottontail rabbit, ostriches, and a black-tailed rabbit.

Invertebrate Snails, millipedes, and slugs are some of the invertebrate that can be found in the grasslands.

Vegetation Many plants grow in the grasslands. Some are:
Sweet coneflower Purple coneflower Grass

Fact #1 If grasslands received more rain, it would be a forest.
If it received less rain, it would be a desert.

Fact #2 Two movies called Lion King and Lion King 1 and 1/2 took place in the grasslands of Africa.
