6. GRIDMAN Study Group
In November 2009, the NRR Ad Hoc created a draft PAR
IEEE /0068r2
However they recommended formation of a study group to study synergies between the applications they were trying to address (Public Safety, Avionics, Airport Surface Communication and Surveillance ) and Smart Grid applications.
In response to this request the Working Group has approved the creation of the Greater Reliability in Disrupted Metropolitan Area Network (GRIDMAN) study group with the objective of drafting and submitting a PAR to the WG addressing the needs of the applications identified
