Example 1 Written Description: The object starts at 0 then moves to the right (+) for 4 s, stops for 2 s, then moves left (-) back to 0 at a faster speed for 2 s. * Notice that the final negative velocity is twice as fast as the original positive velocity and should therefore be twice as far from the t-axis.

Example 2 Written Description: The object starts to the right of 0 and moves to the left (-) for 4 s, then moves to the right (+) at a faster speed for 2 s, and then stops for 2 s * Notice that the positive velocity is faster than the original negative velocity and should therefore be farther from the t-axis.
