Discipline… yourself Prepare your classroom Comfort Arrangement Teacher Desk Disciplining Yourself Comfort: Did you come early? Does it smell good? Is it warm? Is there enough space? Is it cozy/inviting? Arrangement: Can everyone see? Do you have easy access to children? Did you remove distracting objects? Are you prepared for activities?

Why? Why do you discipline? To teach obedience to authority and ultimately to God Hebrews 13:17 “Obey your leaders and submit to their authority” Dr. Beka Horton To instill in children a Christ-like character Hebrews 12:11 “All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.” Disciplining Children
