Lu, COCM The deadly attacks in Paris on November 13 shocked France and Europe. Many were quick to blame religion for causing war and international conflict in the current situation. But we must not forget that sin is the root cause of hatred, violence, war, death and suffering in the world. Romans 3:23 says “for all have sinned” and we are all part of the problem in this world. As we enter into Advent, we are reminded once again to wait expectantly for the coming of Jesus Christ our Saviour. He came into our world to “save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21). Over two thousand years since the First Advent of Christ, Jesus is still the only solution to the problem in our world. Now more than ever, we need to seize every opportunity to share the Good News with all people. God is at work in the younger generation. I see hope and great promise in those around us. It is our prayer that as they follow the examples of our workers in God’s Mission, they will begin to imitate the missionary servant lifestyle and grow to be humble servants of the Lord.
