6. Current Events: Apple vs FBI
- FBI wanted to examine iPhone used by the San Bernardino attacker
- Apple refused to provide FBI with help hacking the phone
- FBI eventually purchased a tool allowing it to access the device made by a 3rd party
- Courts eventually ruled that FBI did not have to disclose the provider of the tool or how much they paid

- Russia – Banned the use of VPNs and Tor
