2. The competitive process
All UG students who have not previously reached the final interview stage are eligible
Contestants must submit a detailed proposal for a multimedia treatment of an original story idea suitable for use on Sky News.
Deadline for submission is 5pm on Thursday 7 February.
Shortlisting will take place on Friday 8 February

3. Interviews for 2019 scholarship
Interviews will take place on Friday 15 February ay Sky’s Millbank newsroom in Westminster, London SW1. Panel will be chaired by Peter Diapre, Assistant Editor (Mobile) at Sky News

4. 2019 Scholarship will be formally awarded at the annual Sky Bob Friend Memorial Lecture on Wednesday 6 March in the Royal Dockyard Church. This year’s speaker is Sophy Ridge, Sky political correspondent and presenter of Sophy Ridge on Sunday
