Do I need a DBS Check at RDA?
Are you a new volunteer or member of staff, aged 16 or over, within an RDA Group in England and Wales? Do you volunteer or work with CHILDREN as part of your role with RDA? Do you volunteer or work with VULNERABLE ADULTS as part of your role with RDA? Is your role in RDA described as, or equivalent to, any of the following: - Instructor/ Coach - Session Leader/ Organiser - Centre/ Yard Manager - RDA Whip (Carriage Driving Groups) Do you actively volunteer or work during RDA sessions? (examples might include Leaders, Side Walkers etc.) If you are not actively involved at Group sessions, you may not be required to undertake a DBS check. Possible roles this may apply to are: - Trustees who are never involved with sessions - Administrative Staff/ Office Support Staff If you are unsure if this applies to your role in RDA, please contact Laura Cartwright at RDA National Office on for guidance You MUST complete an ENHANCED DBS CHECK WITH ADDITIONAL BARRED LIST CHECK, by marking X64 as ‘YES’ on the DBS application form (Please refer to the additional guidance notes on how to complete your application form) You MUST complete an ENHANCED DBS CHECK (without Barred List Check) and complete X64 and X65 as ‘NO’ on the DBS application form (Please refer to the additional guidance notes on how to complete your application form) If you have any queries at all regarding any stage of the DBS application process, please contact Laura Cartwright at RDA National Office on or
