3 Activity: Create your own game
20 minutes You work as a training consultant for a company called the KubrikO The National School Board is looking to improve and diversify teaching methodologies for primary school pupils and they have contacted your company. In particular, the Board has asked KubrikO to create a new set of games to teach students the importance of recycling. Your task is to create a game which will help teachers to achieve these educational objectives: Learn what the recycling overall process is Understand the value of recycling for the environment Understand how to proper recycle items You can use pens, paper, colour, calculators and so forth.

4 Definition of a game What is a game?
A game is a system in which players engage in an abstract challenge, defined by rules, interactivity, and feedback, that results in a quantifiable outcome, often eliciting an emotional reaction. Gamification is using game-based mechanics, aesthetics, and game thinking to engage people, motivate action, promote learning, and solve problems. Game thinking is approaching the design process from the perspective of actions and activities, applying the mechanics of games to nongame situations

Two types of approaches Content Gamification You reach the objectives set by the training via the use of games. Making the content more game like applying element of games. Structural Gamification You do not change the agenda. But apply game elements to the same agenda.
