Clinical Nurse, GS Directorate of Medical Services (DMS)
(MEDHOME/Internal Medicine)
Duties include but are not limited to:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients of varying ages within the Internal Medicine Homeport Team.
Performs administrative and the various clinical duties.
Administers or supervises the administration of therapeutic measures such as medication administration, intravenous fluids, etc.
Collaborates with other medical professionals in developing in multidisciplinary approach to provision of care.
Recognizes medical emergencies and initiates appropriate response.
Triages and takes appropriate action according to the status of patient and level of care needed.
Assists in counseling and educating patients and their families based on their specific health care needs including but not limited to: health and wellness, medical conditions and medical procedures.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements*
US Citizen
18 years of age (by start date)
Obtain and maintain a security clearance
