What is sexuality? What is their view about sex? Why is sex talked about so much? What is wrong in finding out about sex for myself? Who can you talk to about sexual feelings? If my friends are having sex, what’s wrong with me trying it? How can I avoid getting tempted?

4 Why is sex talked about so much?
We live in a world dedicated itself to pleasure The sensual society Macho ideas – pressure girls to have sex. More and more people have given up on God and religion and so sex is a substitute religion Old ideas of morals have been rejected Trivial sex – without commitment, responsibility and obligation. Sex is seen as fun and excitement If you don’t talk about sex, then you are odd

5 Is sex that important? If it doesn’t bother you at the moment, then don’t worry. You still need to be aware of the rights and wrong of sex. You need to know how your body works, how sexual activity progresses, and how to stop! You need to know the beauty and dangers of sex.

6 Why do girls and boys think differently about sex?
Girls want the whole relationship – they want comfort, security, happiness and friendship. Boys are more physically direct, and can be sexually aroused more quickly. They use love to get sex.

7 How can I avoid getting tempted?
Avoiding is the important word. Don’t get in a situation that is obviously going to lead to temptation! Don’t encourage others – by our dressing or behaviour Plan activities together with friends. When temptation comes, redirect your mind and think on the good and positive. Who can you talk to about sexual feelings?

8 I have some weird dreams that I think are due to bad thoughts
I have some weird dreams that I think are due to bad thoughts. What can I do about this? None of us can actually control what we dream. However, you must guard the ‘avenue of the soul’ – what goes into your mind. Be careful what TV or programs you watch – and the fantasies you allow yourself. When bad thoughts hit you, read Philippians 4:8 (NIV) 8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
