2 RESOLUTION ALEXA has a 3.5K CMOS Imager yielding either a 2K or 1920 X 1080 HD image.  Becase of ALEXA's use of the continuously improving ARRI Imaging Technology (AIT), images are sharper and cleaner than other cameras that claim 4K+ resolution.

3 AIT The amazing filmic look of images shot with the ALEXA and ARRIFLEX D-21 is the result of a custom designed CMOS sensor, an optical low pass filter, a powerful imaging hardware engine, and advanced image processing algorithms. The innovative orchestration of all these proprietary components is ARRI Imaging Technology(AIT).
