Launching Patient Opinion
Briefing paper written for Executive Management Team 4 GP practices and 4 health centres identified Process for responding to postings Launched 4th August 2008 Article in staff bulletin (TeamTalk) and individual s sent to Heads of Service Press releases issued to local newspapers Identified 4 GP practices and neighbouring PCT health centres across the city – Morley, Otley, Colton and North East Leeds. Worked with patient opinion to get all provider services and where they are delivered from onto the site. Agreed a process for responding to postings – within 2 days we post an acknowledgement/holding response and/or contact relevant Head of Service to provide comments. Within 5 working days (so within 7 working days of original posting) expected to have a response from HoS. Article in TeamTalk and also individual s about the launch sent to Heads of Services. Press release issued to local newspapers where we launched.

Postings on Patient Opinion
57 postings between 4th August and 5th December 25 postings about the practices and health centres we worked with Feedback is a mixture of: 63% story; 35% thank you; 9% concern; and 2% suggestion. Postings are copied to the relevant provider or commissioner for information Had a total of 57 postings since we launched We copy the postings to the relevant department in the PCT (either a commissioner or provider) or to Patient Relations at LTHT if about a commissioned service.
