Fig 3 Representative stainings for nitrotyrosine (NT, brown), poly(adenosine diphosphate-ribose) (PAR, black), and nuclear translocation of apoptosis-inducing factor (AIF, dark blue/black) in sham, control and INO-1001 treated animals. NT staining was found primarily in the cytosol of the neointima in the control group, whereas PAR staining was present predominantly in the cell nuclei. AIF staining was present as well predominantly in the cell nuclei as a result of translocation, nevertheless residual staining in the cytosol can be observed. After INO-1001 treatment, NT, PAR and nuclear AIF immunoreactivity was nearly absent.
