Understanding EtherChannels
EtherChannels consist of individual links bundled into a single logical link. Provides fault tolerant high speed links between switches, routers, and servers. Can provide full duplex bandwidth up to 800 Mbps.

EtherChannels can consist of up to eight interfaces.
4
Understanding EtherChannels
You must manually assign an interface to an etherchannel using the channel-group command. Each etherchannel has a logical port channel interface numbered from 1-6.
5
PAgP Port Aggregation Protocol
Dynamically groups similarly configured interfaces into a single logical link
6
