SC: Student will draw and shade an apple accurately and 3 dimensionally.. Agenda Outline the highlights and shadows on your apple reference in colored pencil. Using monochromatic colors, fill in your midtone FIRST. Use your tint to fill in your highlights, THEN crosshatch to blend them out Lightly fill in your shadows with your midtone, then a light layer of black. Blend them out with crosshatching LAST!

The mechanical eraser is for when you are FINISHED COLORING. When you are done, come see me and I will add your name to the list. Until then, NOPE. DLC student time means you guys have INDEPENDENT WORK TIME. It is not the time to ask me questions and it is unfair to the DLC students.

Make changes as necessary. You will not have ANY work time on Friday!

30 Friday, Sept. 23 Take a reflection paper and fill it out regarding your oil pastel summative (7 minutes) When you are finished, tack your oil pastel piece to the board (finished or not!) and put a sticky note with your name on it

31 Group Critique Expectations
No phones or earbuds No moving around and socializing. Be respectful, please. Comment of at least 2 artworks. (Do NOT say, Oh, it’s cool.) 4. Start with a positive and then give a suggestion. 5. Don’t be rude or unkind. What to focus on to comment: The highlights & shadows The values Proportion Does it look 3D? WHY do you like it? Be engaged, comment on 2, Your work needs to be hanging up in order to get critique credit Phones? NO CREDIT.
