1 Legal Term = Something placed in trust in another's keeping

2 Financial Tru$t Secure the financial well being of young children by having an administrator oversee the money.

3 Other Types of ‘Trusts’
Your life when you trust a doctor during surgery Your children when you have a babysitter Your money when you give to a financial advisor

4 Spiritual Trust of ‘The Truth’
LORD Παραθήκη [1Timothy 6:20] deposit, trust, placed beside ‘what was committed to your trust’ [NKJV] deposit deposit Apostle Paul Pastor Timothy Profane Idle babbling Contradictions GUARD avoiding Faithful Men 2 Ti 2:2

5 What Happens When ‘What Was Committed To Your Trust’ Does Not Happen?
Doctrine of Justification – Romans 1:17 – 8:39 Doctrine of Justification intact ~ AD 400, Augustine Guard let down, justification by faith morphed into justification by faith plus … [Roman Catholic sacramental system] … so it would still be, except Martin Luther – AD 1517, Protestant Reformation

6 Applications The most direct application of this passage is for me, the Pastor. I need to guard theological orthodoxy entrusted to me. Every Christian has a part. Some of the things [worldliness, empty chatter, attack of Scripture] that need ‘guarding against’ come up in the church. As you hear and see these things, pray and gently try to help correct. Are there things you have entrusted to others? Are there things others have entrusted to you? Are you faithful?
