Applications The most direct application of this passage is for me, the Pastor. I need to guard theological orthodoxy entrusted to me. Every Christian has a part. Some of the things [worldliness, empty chatter, attack of Scripture] that need ‘guarding against’ come up in the church. As you hear and see these things, pray and gently try to help correct. Are there things you have entrusted to others? Are there things others have entrusted to you? Are you faithful?
