This set of slides shows the menus and the methods used to “Find & Identify” peaks normally found in a wide scan survey spectrum
There are two ways to find and identify the peaks, “Automated” and “Manual”. Both methods are demonstrated.
The “Spectral Lines” look-up table which can be customized by the user is used to help identify weak signals and peaks from insulating samples
The “Atom % Composition Table” and some of its capabilities are shown
The ability to generate atom % tables from narrow scan spectra is briefly demonstrated
The ability to modify the RSF values by using an exponential function is shown
The ability to charge compensate (correct) for positive or negative charge states is briefly reviewed
