Ecosystems at the Centre of our Policy
We need to protect ecosystem function, integrity, resilience and vitality. Current biodiversity policy is perceived to focus on species and habitats rather than the ecosystem (not in fact true). How do we develop an integrated and comprehensive approach based on ecosystems? What is happening in other areas of environmental policy? Can we legislative for the protection of ecosystems?
