Khmer Rouge uniform
In 1975 a group called the Khmer Rouge took charge in Cambodia.
They forced Cambodians to leave their homes and go and work in big farms in
the countryside. They gave them hardly anything to eat.
Children were taken away from their parents.
They killed lots of people. People were killed for reasons such as:
Having an 
important job
Knowing another 
language
Laughing or
crying
Wearing glasses
