Manufacturing Technology CaCa (formerly CTE Intro) CHALLENGE: You are a member of a Quadcopter Design team. The team is charged with designing and building the frame for a quadcopter to accommodate given pieces (i.e., motors, controller, batteries). Your team is also responsible for developing educational visualizations that explain science and mathematical principles of the quadcopter to fifth graders during their science and mathematics instruction.

5 Possible Requirements
1. Utilize and document the Engineering Design Process to develop the frame of the quadcopter around given constraints. 2. As part of the constraints to be identified within the Engineering Design Process: a. Research and report misuses of quadcopters that cause ethical dilemmas. b. Research and report current govern regulations for hobby quadcopters and commercial use quadcopters. 3. Build, fly, evaluate, revise and report the finalized quadcopter. 4. Utilize Story Boarding to create a presentation featuring your quadcopter that: a. Explains the science of the four forces (thrust, lift, drag, weight) that affect flight. b. Explains the mathematical calculations for the forces that explain why your quadcopter can fly and maneuver. And/or c. Explains the science and mathematics of radio frequency. d. Explains the technology of remote control.
