We will determine the central idea and trace the argument and claims in a media text.

Sleep Video It is important to have a number of sources when learning about a topic or issue and that the media is one kind of source. Two of the texts that you have read so far are print media. Today, you will be watching a video from a PBS news program called “Frontline.”

What is the video’s argument with reasons and evidence? I will periodically pause the video so you can take notes.

You will watch the video a second time. This time identify the video’s argument and how it is supported by reasons and evidence. Record your responses on an “Analyzing a Video’s Argument” Chart, which is similar to the charts completed for the sleep articles. (32:25-43:10) From Zzzz's to A's
