Task Group 1 (TG1) derived a draft standard from the Bluetooth™ specification under IEEE PAR
After Session #17 project members attended the 20Mar02 IEEE-SA StdBd Committee Meetings (RevCom) in Piscataway, NJ USA.
The debate was long but in the end the project was approved.
The RevCom and IEEE-SA Standards Board conditionally approved on 21Mar02 the IEEE Std ® based adding editorial text that points to

Conditional Approval Summary
The IEEE Std was conditionally approved as a new standard by the IEEE-SA Standards Board on 21 March Editorial discussion must be added to the Introduction of the standard that points to the P draft recommended practice for coexistence. The following is the currently planned editorial discussion that will be added:
"There is a body of generally available industry information quantifying the level of over-the-air coexistence between and Additional information may be obtained from the Draft P Recommended Practice on Coexistence which deals specifically with this issue."
Note: We will also add a phrase that:
a) Gives an expected date for the approved document and
b) Explains that the approved standard would supersede the draft.
