2 “Ads have a tendency of playing out a more male version of passions and desires, creating women to be a subject to ‘male gaze’ For example, in the following Fisker Karma Ad.” Text and image from

3 Lesson No.6 If he resists, practice hypnosis
As these examples show, some ads objectify women, using a body part to represent the entire woman. Note in the first add, the woman’s head is excluded. Maybe she is meant to be seen and not heard? Everyone wants a piece.

4 In these ads, the women’s bodies have literally become part of the product. To promote this beer, the women have become less than human whereby the only aspect the audience takes note of is their sexuality. Text and image from

5 Check our out overflowing collection of alluring styles
Talk about bizarre. The ad on the right uses a woman’s body to sell wall tiles. The ad on the left uses a woman’s body to promote a vegetarian lifestyle. Images from

6 “In the print ad for Skyy Vodka…the woman is being sexually objectified to an excessive degree. Here, the focus is obviously on her sexy body and more specifically her breasts. In fact, the angle she is shown at does not even let the audience get a good look at her face. All we know from this picture is that she is blonde, thin, tanned and busty. In addition, she is shown in a position where the man is clearly dominant.” Text and image from The Valentino ads show male domination and help to trivialize inappropriate contact.
