3. Reasons to grind nails Softens edges of nails after cutting
Helps prevent nails from splintering

4. Steps Turn grinder on a low setting
Start on outside nail and work your way around paw
Bend paw in natural position
Hold nail steady with your fingers
Touch grinder to bottom on nail, while rounding out edges
Check that the surface is smooth and even

5. Safety
Make sure that the grinder does not touch the dogs pad, fur, skin or your hand or hair
Apply kwik stop if needed
