3. ESKOM EXPO
Two (2) Learners from Phelindaba High School NTSOS participated at the Regional and National competition.
Won Two Silver medals and a TUT recognition award.
Proceeded and won two International Silver Medals at the International Science Fair held at Birchwood Hotel from October 2018.

4. DEPT OF ENERGY: LFW
Ten (10) Learners from Phelindaba and C Phatudi High Schools participated in the DoE Learner Focus Week programme held in Kwa-Zulu Natal (KZN) from 9-13 July
Two (2) learners won tablets and a bursary respectively.
LFW : Learner Focus Week: The DoE initiative to encourage learner participation in Maths and Science Projects.

5. CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT
Three (3) workshops were held with Necsa Experts to familiarise them with content of the identified topics and grades.

6. MATHS AND SCIENCE PROJECT-HOFMEYR
Necsa through joint funding with CHIETA implemented a Maths and Science Revision intervention at Hofmeyr Secondary School with 43 learners participating.
The sessions were conducted by Protec which was appointed by Necsa.
The classes were held on Saturdays from 13 October to 10 November Lunch, calculators and learning material was given to all participants.

7. INFRUSTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT
Necsa requested all NTSOS for infrastructure needs assessments reports.
The focus was on the enabling conducive status of Science Laboratories.
Necsa have engaged a potential sponsor and partner who intends to sponsor Science Laboratories.
All Four (4) schools were visited and have submitted their respective needs.
Necsa have submitted the funding proposal - awaiting response.

8. 2019 PROJECT PLAN
A detailed 2019 project plan will be developed and should be indicative of the following:
The focus on nuclearisation of the curriculum
School Based Assessments and its scope.
Clear lines of responsibilities(Human resource allocation).
Funding matters.
Learner annual events (Learner Focus Week, Eskom Expo, Sasol Tech etc).

9. 2019 PROJECT PLAN Teacher Capacity Building.
School Infrastructure Developments.
Fundraising and collaboration.
Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) to take lead on curriculum development.
