2 Who is Bob Dylan? Bob Dylan is an American songwriter, singer, artist, and writer. He has been influential in popular music and culture for more than five decades. Much of his most celebrated works dates from the 1960s, when his songs chronicled social unrest. Early songs such as "Blowin' in the Wind“ became anthems for the American civil rights and anti-war movements. In 2016 Bob Dylan was the first singer-songwriter to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature " for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition".

3 Blowing in the Wind Page 1 Page 2
How many roads must a man walk down Before you can call him a man? Yes, 'n' how many seas must a white dove sail Before she sleeps in the sand? Yes, 'n' how many times must the cannonballs fly Before they're forever banned? The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind, The answer is blowin' in the wind. How many years can a mountain exist Before it's washed to the sea? Yes, 'n' how many years can some people exist Before they're allowed to be free? How many times must a man look up Before he can see the sky? Yes, 'n' how many ears must one man have Before he can hear people cry? Yes, 'n' how many deaths will it take till he knows That too many people have died? The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind, The answer is blowin' in the wind. Yes, 'n' how many times can a man turn his head, Pretending he just doesn't see? The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind, The answer is blowin' in the wind Page 1 Page 2

4 Blowing in the Wind Interpretation:
According to us, in this song Bob Dylan imagines to talk to one of his friends died in the war. He asks himself when the war will finish and, not being able to know it, he realizes that the answer is in the wind with his friend that knows when actually there will be peace in the world.

5 Knocking on Heaven’s Door
Mama take this badge from me I can't use it anymore It's getting dark too dark to see Feel like I'm knockin' on heaven's door Knock, knock, knockin’on heaven’s door knock, knock, knockin’on heaven’s door Mama put my guns in the ground I can't shoot them anymore That cold black cloud is comin' down Feel like I'm knockin' on heaven's door

6 Knocking on Heaven’s Door Interpretation
This song talks about a man belonging to the military forces, who asks her mother to deprive him of his badge and to throw his guns away because he is dying and he feels like he is knocking on the Heaven’s door.   In our view, the songwriter wants to tell us that when you realize that, after many sacrifices, your life is over, the only place where you can find peace is Paradise.
