1 Converting your LionWAP Web site to the new Lions e-Clubhouse
We are very happy that we can incorporate the new Lions Clubs International branding appearance into LionWAP through the Lions e-Clubhouse initiatives. We have over 7,000 Lions Clubs that make use of LionWAP, so the new branding appearance will suddenly appear everywhere on the internet. But with the new look comes a responsibility. We all want our clubs to have a more updated web site; New with content, along with the new look. For the next few minutes, I will be discussing the upgrade path for Lions Clubs that have taken advantage of LionWAP since it’s inception in 1999. Web site to the new Lions e-Clubhouse

2 Log in at new login page www.LionWAP.org/eclub
The Lions e-Clubhouse system is ready. You will see a new login page at LionWAP will have a whole new look.

3 Who can upgrade to Lions e-Clubhouse?
Lions Club Web sites (not districts or special project pages) Recently updated Web sites Commitment to inform and publicize Lions e-Clubhouse is made ready for Lions Club level websites. We have ed hundreds of webmasters who have recently updated their web sites to be upgraded. We want clubs that show photos and meaningful content right away.

4 Remove all HTML code from Club Name
We need to simplify some of the websites that are upgraded to Lions e-Clubhouse. We want the club name to be consistent throughout the system. The first thing that we want to do, is to remove any formatting that the web master added to decorate the Lions Club name. This would not fit into the Lions e-Clubhouse design.

5 What is your Lions Club name?
Examples: Watertown Lions Club – English Club de Leones de Watertown – Spanish Lions Clube Watertown – Portuguese Lions Club Watertown –Finnish, French, German, Italian, Swedish, and parts of Europe where the language’s best grammar dictates this naming convention. We are aiming first at English Lions Club websites, but will make it available to conforming internationally based websites. In English, the name of that club’s community is first. In this example, Watertown Lions Club.

6 What isn’t your club name?
Do not use “Watertown Lions Club, Inc.” or other corporate name. Do not use “Watertown Connecticut Lions Club” or add other State or Country designation to your club name. Do not use “Watertown Lions Club a 501(c)(3)” or other designation with the name. There are good and appropriate places on your website where you can inform the public about your charitable tax status and geographic location of your Lions Club. We want to encourage that a Club refocus their name with the more traditional Lions Club name. We would like clubs to stop using corporate names, or use tax-free designations within their name. There are good and appropriate places on your website where you can inform the public about your charitable tax status and geographic location of your Lions Club.

You will continue to use the older LionWAP system of editing. The “e-Clubhouse” Template is not made available. The new templates and Lions e-Clubhouse format is designed to show a regular Lions Club, so your district website doesn’t fit. LionNet and LionWAP Administrators are Lions Club members around the world, volunteers just like you. They want to help. LionWAP will be maintaining non-club websites, including district websites; but the new Lions e-Clubhouse format is not yet available to these.
