10 Within PDP I’ve been able to use these videos to highlight Enterprise activity.
Within the lecture sessions students are encouraged to think about the nature of their practice and about possible futures where they may well consider starting out on their own. Typically we start talking more about Enterprise at level two, where students are asked to interrogate their communities of practice, dip their toes in the water and to try something out. There are always a few students who have ideas, and we’ve enjoyed in CSAD good success stories of our undergraduates receiving SPEED awards and developing their business ideas. Building on this at level 3 they then should be considering their exit strategies more. At this stage many students are of course thinking more acutely about this, and about the possible uncertainties that this might present. At level 3 it is clear that many students begin to explore what this might mean to them, even if they see it as a fall back position to employment, or if they are keen by this stage to develop something for themselves or in partnership with friends / colleagues. Showcasing work of our Alumni presents people who have recently trodden similar paths. These stories are therefore both inspiring and do-able. They are presented information about the universities support structures such as CE, IAE and are invited to attend current workshops and events.

11 Thank you for listening… Any questions?
