This is a topic that adults might be talking about in Parliament soon, so it’s important that these adults know what you have to say about it!

Why are we talking about this?
At the moment in this country*, you can get married from the age of 18 years old. If you want to get married at 16 or 17, you need permission from your parents.
Permission:
When somebody says you are allowed to do something.
*In Scotland, the law says someone can get married at 16. In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, you have to be 18 to get married but, if you are 16 or 17 years old, you can get married with your parents’ permission.
