2. The End of World War I
After defeating Germany, the European Allies wanted to severely punish Germany - but President Wilson didn’t agree with this.
Wilson’s 14 Points were a plan for how to keep peace after the war - one idea was the League of Nations.
European nations agreed with the idea of a League of Nations - it became part of the Treaty of Versailles.
But the US Senate refused to approve the treaty - because it didn’t agree that the US should be in a League of Nations.
